Thebenshook teaching introduction video
A typical lesson with me begins a brief overview of the student’s practice log. The lesson is then carefully built upon the student’s progress in the past week. During the lesson, a series of different approaches will be implemented to help the student understand what they are learning. A student may clap out a specific rhythm pattern, be quizzed on various chords, and asked to write out the names of different notes. Each of my students learn, according to their initial experience and knowledge of music. After we have determined their level of musical knowledge, the student will learn everything from chords, notes, rhythms, and musical theory. I will always be there to demonstrate what the material sounds like and how to correctly practice it, always open to any question. Leaving the lesson, the student has things to work on prior to the next lesson.
